Joseph J. Cogliano, age 89, of Broomall, Pa, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Kindred Hospital, Havertown, Pa.
Born August 22, 1923 in Philadelphia to Margaret Franzosa and Charles Cogliano.
Joseph served in the US Army during World War II, achieving the rank of Sergeant.
On October 5, 1946 he married Angela Siravo.
Joseph was a Designer Engineer with DuPont in Wilmington, Delaware. He studied engineering at Manhattan Technical Institute and Drexel University.
He was predeceased by his wife of nearly 60 years on September 30, 2005. He is survived by his son, Joseph A. Cogliano (Karen), grandchildren: Shayna, Joey and Douglas (Brienne), and siblings; Margaret Ristaino and the late Anthony Cogliano.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 AM Friday in St. Anastasia, Newtown Square, Pa where family and friends may call after 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
